Tutors

Jeroen van Ameijde studied Architecture and Building Technology at the Delft University of Technology. He has worked in offices in Holland, New York and Hong Kong and taught in a graduate design studio at the University of Pennsylvania. As Head of Digital Prototyping he has been teaching at the AA since 2007, working with various units and programs including the Design Research Lab graduate programme and since 2010 as Unit Master of Intermediate Unit 6. He has lectured and taught workshops in several universities worldwide and has recently founded the experimental architecture practice Material_Codes.

Dr. Mauricio Puentes Riffo has been assistant profesor in School of Architecture and Design of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso since 1997. As Director of the Post-graduate Programme at the Universidad Católica de Valparaiso he has directed undergraduate and graduate (Master) thesis. He has participated in 19 travesias across the America continent along with the Architecture and Design Workshops. Dr. Mauricio studied architecture in the PUCV (1996) and Phd in the Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña (2008). Memeber of the Cultural Corporation Amereida, he has organized and participated in the research projects on the Self-built Housing Habitability in Valparaiso and the Informal urban growth in the Palmar area of Viña del Mar. He has lectured in Santiago (Lastarria observatory), Temuco (Trailanque: EEA), Barcelona (COAC), Bucharest (U Ion Mincu), Trondheim (NTNU), Roros (Roros Seminar: Celebrating The Architecture 2008), London (The Bartlett School, UCL) and the University of Nottingham.
He has been invited to speak at the ETSAB and the UPC Foundation in Barcelona, and the PUC in Santiago de Chile.
